Dear IGO Family/ Community,

Since our last email to you at the end of March when the UK and other countries announced lockdown, much has changed. Not only within the travel industry but each of us around the world will have had a wholly unique experience personal to them due to the effects of the pandemic. In light of this and the constantly changing situation regarding borders opening and closing all over the world, we at IGO have made some changes. Now that 75 countries have opened up whereby you can travel to and from without the need to quarantine when you get back home, people are on the move again.

Firstly, we have now opened up private group bookings. These can either be totally bespoke trips, built from scratch, or an itinerary from our website that has already been pre-designed by us, professional adventurers, and our local suppliers; you just have to pick a date to suit.

Many of us have found a new or reinvigorated passion for nature and the outdoors in general with Multi-generational families looking to do something amazing to make up for lost time and create some lasting memories beyond the groundhog day of the last 4 months as well as friends keen to link up for active trips such as a guided mountain bike safari in search of bears in the ‘Yellowstone of Europe’ in the heart of Romania. With many businesses having adapted to Flexi and remote working it is more important than ever to keep the creative juices flowing and team connectivity and so the IGO team are enjoying creating innovative trips to bring the workforce together in meaningful ways. We are already taking bookings for September this year and into 2021 as we all start to dream of the possibilities of life and adventure outside our homes.

Secondly, health and safety. In line with our sustainable policy, It’s vitally important to us that guests leave a place better than when they found it and that also includes the impression the adventure leaves on the guest. In line with official government guidelines and best practices, we and our suppliers adhere to our COVID policy and guidelines which can also be found on our website.

IGO has always been about extraordinary experiences in nature with a focus on uncrowded wildernesses and adventures with purpose. As countries begin to ease restrictions and open up to visitors we feel our ethos and our supplier’s and partners’ approach to sustainability and guest transformational experience are perfectly positioned to deliver unforgettable active holidays in nature.

We will be airing live, 20 min conversations with our incredible guides, local operators, owner-run hotels from some of the best spots around the globe to find out how they are adapting their procedures to a post COVID world to give you peace of mind but to also to give you a peek into their neck of the woods to inspire your next great adventure!
